1. Agreement to Terms
Welcome to FlashTasks AI. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the FlashTasks AI task management application, including our web application, mobile apps, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 16 years of age to use FlashTasks AI. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are 16 years of age or older.
If you are under 16, you may not use the Service. We do not knowingly collect information from users under 16.
2.2 Account Capacity
By creating an account, you represent that:
You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
You will provide accurate and complete information
You will maintain the security of your account credentials
All information you provide is truthful and current
3. Account Registration and Security
3.1 Account Creation
To use FlashTasks AI, you must create an account by:
Providing a valid email address and password, or
Signing in with Google OAuth
3.2 Account Security
You are responsible for:
Maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account credentials
All activities that occur under your account
Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach
We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account credentials.
3.3 Account Information
You agree to:
Provide accurate, current, and complete account information
Update your information to keep it accurate and current
Not impersonate any person or entity
Not create multiple accounts for fraudulent purposes
3.4 Account Suspension and Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:
You violate these Terms
You engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
We are required to do so by law
We discontinue the Service (with advance notice)
4. Use of the Service
4.1 License Grant
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for personal or internal business purposes.
4.2 Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:

Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
Use the Service for any illegal, harmful, or fraudulent purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
Interfere with or disrupt the Service's functionality or servers
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service
Transmit viruses, malware, or other malicious code
Harass, abuse, or harm other users
Impersonate any person or entity
Upload or share content that is illegal, offensive, or violates intellectual property rights
AI Feature Misuse:
Attempt to manipulate or exploit AI features for unintended purposes
Use AI features to generate harmful, illegal, or inappropriate content
Overload AI services with excessive or abusive requests
Commercial Misuse:
Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service without permission
Use the Service to build a competing product or service
Frame, mirror, or scrape the Service without authorization
Violation of these terms may result in immediate account termination.
4.3 Service Availability
We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee:
Uninterrupted or error-free access
Service availability at all times
Compatibility with all devices or platforms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with or without notice.
5. User Content
5.1 Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you create, upload, or store in the Service ("User Content"), including:
Tasks, notes, and categories
Voice recordings (temporarily processed, then deleted)
Location data associated with tasks
Any other data you input into the Service
5.2 License to Us
By using the Service, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:
Store, process, and display your User Content as necessary to provide the Service
Use AI services (Google Generative AI, Anthropic Claude) to analyze your User Content for features like task suggestions and insights
Make backup copies for data protection and disaster recovery
We will not:
Share your User Content with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy
Use your User Content for advertising or marketing purposes
Sell or monetize your User Content
5.3 Content Responsibility
You are solely responsible for your User Content. You represent and warrant that:
You own or have the necessary rights to your User Content
Your User Content does not violate any laws or third-party rights
Your User Content does not contain harmful, illegal, or offensive material
We reserve the right to remove User Content that violates these Terms, but we have no obligation to monitor or review User Content.
5.4 AI Processing
When you use AI-powered features:
Your task content is sent to third-party AI providers (Google AI, Anthropic)
Processing is done in real-time to provide suggestions and insights
AI providers' privacy policies apply to data sent to them
You can disable AI features in Settings if you prefer not to use them
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Our Ownership
The Service, including its design, code, features, branding, and all intellectual property rights, is owned by FlashTasks AI or our licensors.
Protected Elements:
FlashTasks AI name, logo, and branding
Software code, algorithms, and architecture
User interface design and visual elements
AI models and prompts (excluding third-party AI services)
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from the Service without our express written permission.
6.2 Trademarks
"FlashTasks AI" and associated logos are trademarks of FlashTasks AI. You may not use our trademarks without prior written consent.
6.3 Feedback
If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service ("Feedback"), you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, and incorporate such Feedback into the Service without any obligation to you.
7. Subscription and Payments
7.1 Free and Paid Tiers
FlashTasks AI offers:
Free Tier: Basic features with limitations
Paid Subscription: Premium features with monthly or annual billing
Lifetime Purchase: One-time payment for permanent access to premium features
Specific pricing, features, and limitations are described on our pricing page and may change with notice.
Subscriptions: Automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date
Payment Method: Charged to your designated payment method
Price Changes: We may adjust pricing with 30 days' advance notice
No Refunds: Payments are generally non-refundable except as required by law or at our sole discretion
7.4 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time:
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
You retain access until the end of the paid period
No pro-rated refunds for partial months
7.5 Free Trial (If Applicable)
If we offer a free trial:
Free trial duration is specified at sign-up
Payment method required; you'll be charged when the trial ends unless you cancel
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue free trials at any time
8. Third-Party Services and Links
8.1 Third-Party Integrations
The Service integrates with third-party services:
Google Sign-In: Subject to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
Google Calendar Sync (Optional): Subject to Google's Terms of Service
Firebase Cloud Messaging: Subject to Firebase Terms
Your use of these third-party services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:
Merchantability: Fitness for a particular purpose
Non-Infringement: Freedom from intellectual property violations
Accuracy: Completeness or reliability of content or AI-generated suggestions
Availability: Uninterrupted, secure, or error-free service
AI Features Disclaimer:
AI-generated suggestions (task categorization, insights, quick add parsing) are provided for convenience and may not always be accurate
You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated content
We do not guarantee the accuracy, quality, or reliability of AI outputs
No Professional Advice:
FlashTasks AI does not provide legal, financial, medical, or professional advice
AI features are not a substitute for professional judgment
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FLASHTASKS AI AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
Indirect, Incidental, Special, Consequential, or Punitive Damages
Loss of Profits, Data, Use, or Goodwill
Business Interruption or Lost Opportunities
Damages Resulting from:
Use or inability to use the Service
Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
Third-party conduct or content
AI-generated errors or inaccuracies
TOTAL LIABILITY CAP:
Our total liability for any claims arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €100 (whichever is greater).
Exceptions: This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (e.g., fraud, gross negligence, personal injury).
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless FlashTasks AI, its affiliates, officers, employees, and licensors from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
Your use or misuse of the Service
Your violation of these Terms
Your User Content or infringement of third-party rights
Your violation of any law or regulation
12. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
12.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway, without regard to conflict of law principles.
12.2 Arbitration Agreement
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with Norwegian arbitration rules.

Location: Arbitration shall take place in Norway
Language: Norwegian or English (as mutually agreed)
Individual Basis: You may only resolve disputes with us on an individual basis; class actions are not permitted
Exceptions: Either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property or confidentiality violations
12.3 Opt-Out of Arbitration
You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending written notice to FlashTasksAI@gmail.com within 30 days of account creation.
12.4 Jurisdiction
If arbitration does not apply or is opted out, any legal action shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Norway, and you consent to the jurisdiction of such courts.
13. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. When we do:

Material changes will be communicated via:
Email notification to your registered email address
In-app notification when you next use the Service
Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance
If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account.
14. Account Deletion and Data Export
14.1 Your Right to Delete
You may delete your account at any time through Settings → Delete Account.
Upon deletion:
Your personal data is immediately and permanently deleted
Backup copies are deleted within 30 days
This action is irreversible; we cannot recover your data after deletion
14.2 Data Export
Before deleting your account, you can export your data:
Go to Settings → Export Data
Download a JSON file containing all your tasks, notes, and categories
This is your responsibility; we do not retain data after account deletion
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service:
Immediately, without notice, for violations of these Terms
With 30 days' notice if we discontinue the Service
As required by law or legal process
15.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
Your license to use the Service ends immediately
You must cease all use of the Service
Your data will be deleted as described in our Privacy Policy
Sections of these Terms that should survive (e.g., liability limitations, indemnification) remain in effect
16. Miscellaneous
16.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and FlashTasks AI regarding the Service.
16.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
16.3 No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
16.4 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our written consent. We may assign these Terms (e.g., in connection with a merger or acquisition).
16.5 Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control (e.g., natural disasters, war, pandemics, internet outages).
